Itinerary
The Kheerganga Trek itinerary begins with a trip from Delhi to Kasol. The walk then begins in Kasol, a small village in the Kullu Manali area of Himachal Pradesh. This place is quickly becoming a popular tourist destination for those on a budget. You’ll have the option of remaining at Kasol for one night before heading to Kheerganga the next day.
Day 1- New Delhi to Bhuntar
- Begin your journey by boarding an evening Semi-Sleeper AC Volvo bus/Tempo traveler/Sedan car/SUV car (depending on group size) from Delhi around 05:00 PM.
- Stay on the bus throughout the night.
Day 2- Kasol to Chalal
- When you arrive in Bhuntar, take a deep breath and enjoy the scenery as you go to the campsite in Kasol using local transportation at your own expense.
- Explore ‘Little Amsterdam’, Kasol’s lanes lined with colorful tourist shops and Israeli cafes, on your own en route to Chalal.
- After a lovely day in Chalal, return to your campsite in the evening.
- Enjoy a delicious dinner while dancing around the bonfire.
- Spend the night in Kasol
Day 3- Kasol to Kheerganga
- After breakfast, go to Barshaini, a small village near Kasol and the confluence of the Parvati and Tosh Rivers, to begin your spectacular Kheerganga Trek.
- After reaching the green meadow of Kheerganga, take a rejuvenating bath in the hot fabled Parvati Kund to wash away the fatigue of the trek.
- Trek for roughly 14 kilometers along the rushing Parvati River and pass through the calm settlements of Kalga and Pulga Later, gather energy for the next day by sitting around a bonfire near your camp.
- Staying in Camps for the Night.
Day 4- Kheerganga to Kasol via Barshaini
- Wake up to a breathtaking view of the Himalayan peaks and prepare for the trek back to Barshaini along the same road you used to go to Kheerganga.
- Arrive in Barshaini and arrange your own transportation to Bhuntar.
Day 5- Kasol to New Delhi
- Bid adieu to the mountains
